the Introduction

I am simply me …. being the best version of me I can be with each breath I take. I don’t have time to entertain drama – life to too short. Life has been far from easy but each day I find something to feel Blessed for and grateful about. I love to write! I cannot imagine a day going by that I do not write “something” – people have been telling me for years to share my words with others. I finally felt the timing was right to do that. So here I am!

  • on writing: I have wanted to write a book since I learned what a book was – that dream has not happened – yet! But, I know it is coming – in fact – there will be more than one book – LOL. The funny thing is – the topics for each book will be so different and unrelated – right down to the genre’. Stay tuned!
  • on food: I love to cook and bake; hands down – if there is a recipe to try – I am ready! I enjoy making candy and continental recipes …..I also love to create recipes using wild game. So, since I am always being asked for my “special recipes” – you just might see them pop up on here.
  • on nature: Yeppers! I am a nature freak – if it grows, blooms, sprouts – I am there – ready to plant it and share it. I am also “at home” in the woods ( eventually you will learn why that is when some stories from my childhood find their way into my blog). Being one with nature comes natural to me. I want to share that with you – maybe cause just one person to experience a new outlook where nature is concerned.
  • on photography: I have taken photos since I was little – it started with a toy (probably a Fisher Price) camera where I “pretended” to take pics – LOL. Then, my grandmother gave me her Brownie camera – this little brown box of a camera that took 620 film that she would always help me to respool – yes! That’s where it all began …..I now enjoy amateur photography daily – thanks to my iPhone 8 Plus and the really great camera it. I also use a digital camera that allows me to zoom in to the fine details of life. Of course – I will be sharing this passion with you from time to time.
  • on life: Yes, I have stories galore from my childhood to the present – some will make you laugh – some will make you cry – others will make you cringe with fear – some will hit home – others will be inspirational (at least I sure hope so!) …and others will allow you to realize that “you” are not the only one going through certain things and that “those things” just don’t happen to you.
  • on smiles: If I can make one person smile each day – then I have lived a great day. You never know who needs your smile – so keep on smiling!
